Last Wednesday our Walking on Wednesdays walking group went on a "Where's Waldo?," and where are other central Piedmont streets walk. Working against the group's objective of eventually walking to every street in Piedmont, we left our Exedra home base to visit and see a large number of Piedmont streets.
The group of fourteen walkers and one K9 best friend walked down Magnolia Avenue to see both the upper and lower sides of San Carlos Avenue, and then on to El Cerrito, Blair, Carmel, Oakland, Hillside, Park, Pala, Mesa, and Monte Avenues, and of course to Waldo Avenue, where a group "Where's Waldo?" photo was taken. After all this street seeing, we returned via Highland Avenue to our Exedra starting point. It was about a 90 minute walk on a cool, but nice late summer morning that enabled our chronicler, Priscilla W, to color in many new streets on our tracking map of walked Piedmont streets.
In the attached group photo at Waldo Avenue Noemi A can be seen signaling that she has found Waldo.
We haven't set a specific destination for next week's walk, but we have talked about visiting some of the streets above Hampton Field. So many streets, so many choices!
